Community members looking to make a meaningful impact this summer are invited to volunteer at the upcoming POAC Autism Surfing Events, hosted in partnership with Sea of Change and Friends of Island Beach State Park.
These annual events provide children and young adults with autism the opportunity to experience the joy of surfing in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Over the years, the program has become a favorite summer tradition for participating families, volunteers, and organizers alike.
According to organizers, last year’s events were a tremendous success, creating unforgettable memories for participants while fostering confidence, independence, and social connections through adaptive surfing experiences.
